FASHION ICON OF THE WEEK

SO I HAD TO DO IT.SHE IS ONE OF THE BADDEST FEMALES I HAVE EVER SEEN.SHE HAS THE BADDEST BODY EVER CREATED AND BESIDES THE FACT THAT SHE COULD ROCK A FADE IS UN FUCKIN BELIEVABLE.SHE IS MY FASHION ICON OF THE WEEK.

S/S CHANEL 09
Strutting down the runway at the Grand Palais in Paris from the Spring-Summer 2009 Womens Chanel fashion show were these whimsical bags. No, Karl did not go mad (yet) and send out paper bags. He could have, but he choose to reinterpret the humble paper bag and had them stitched up in leather in a variety of sizes and colours. And since we all love to be seen in town showing off our latest purchases in those designer paper bags, this is perhaps an even better solution. At least it won't tear after repeated use. Incidentally 31, Rue Cambon (seen on the 'paper bags') refers to Coco Chanel's abode above her boutique in Paris, though she lived most of her life at the Ritz.
And if that was not bizarre enough, here are some images of the reinterpreted Chanel Classic Flap as well. Quirky yes, but I would rather spend my money on the 'paper bags'. x
